ALO

A commissioned art work for Halti Næringshage in Nordreisa, Norway. It’s a series of 99 small photographs put together into a mosaic. The seemingly light summer pictures of children and adults by a lake have a nostalgic feel to them, and one can almost hear the sounds of a hot summer day.

But people are turned away, and the images are fading little by little -like old memories of a bygone era, faded and partly indistinct, on the way of disappearing. The work speaks of fleeting, intangible memories and faces, that often dissolves with time.

In total the series ALO (which is also a Kven word for noise), consists of 99 small, squared printed images on wooden boards.
